We left Claire at about 8 feeling fresh and ready to hit Adelaide for a rest day. Had a strong tail wind and finished the 83 mile day by half 3.
The first few miles were on a sunny, decent surfaced cycle path (rasin reisling or something), and smashed it to our morning coffee stop at Tarlee.

On a side note, though often bigger and more colourful, Australian birds definitely do not sound as good as English ones.
After coffee the wind picked up and spent the next hour cruising at 25+ until the urban sprawl that is the outskirts of Adelaide. There’s about 10 miles of rolling suburbs with traffic lights at every block, so not great cycling but got to our hostel relatively early and had a fat dominoes.

Our first rest day! Stayed in bed until half 8 then had a free hostel breakfast. In the morning we cut around sorting admin then treated ourselves to some slippers for the cold tent nights.

After the shopping we hit the cathedral and explored the city on electric scooters. V good to have a rest day and feeling good for the Adelaide hills tomorrow.
