Another frosty start. Cycling out of Canberra is straightforward but boring. Had a mid morning mechanical when a rogue bungee wrote off Jacks front breaks.

We found a good camping spot, toasted some marshmallows and cooked dinner on the fire, hoping for a more interesting ride tomorrow.

Bit of a slow start with a lot of bike tinkering before we hit the road.

The ride was nice but not particularly note worthy and ended up in a campsite in Mossvale where a nice french man gave us some bacon.

We reached the Pacific Ocean and have officially ridden across Australia!

The riding was good and mid way through we hit the Macquarie Pass that brought us storming back to sea level. Good coffee stop in the afternoon and an amazing camping spot on the beach with an evening swim. Sydney tomorrow…

The final day! Had a lie in until half 7 and enjoyed sunrise on the beach. The ride was really nice, we had a bit of climbing and found a great off-road shortcut crossing the royal national park and taking us to the suburbs.

There was one puncture on the way through sydney but it happened at a good time and didn’t slow us down much.

Getting to the opera house was a weird one. We’ve cycled so long to get here and don’t really want to stop riding and return to the real world. The only person there who knew of our feat was a living statue I told on arrival.

Finishing was a bit of an anti climax and it feels like we have only just set off. Both of us would be keen to keep going but we’re getting a bit feral and are probably in need of some civilisation. Luckily we have a week to wind down before going back to the UK.
A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us, through donating, following our progress and housing us accross the country. If you have any questions or are planning a tour or a fundraiser for World Bicycle Relief please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Wonderful achievement, we are very proud of you both…..
